Lord Shiva
Lord Shiva is the destroyer and regenerator in the Hindu Trimurti. He represents asceticism, cosmic energy, and transformation. Known as Mahadeva, he is both a fierce destroyer and a compassionate protector.
About Lord Shiva
Lord Shiva, the Supreme Destroyer and Transformer, is a mystic deity embodying both ascetic renunciation and fierce cosmic power. He is portrayed with ash-covered skin, crescent moon on his matted locks, river Ganga flowing from his hair, and a third eye symbolizing inner vision and cosmic wisdom. Holding the trident (Trishul) and the damaru (drum), he resides atop Mount Kailash in deep meditation. As Nataraja, the cosmic dancer, Shiva represents creation, preservation, and dissolution in rhythmic harmony. His consort, Goddess Parvati, complements his role, and together they symbolize the union of Shakti and Shiva—matter and consciousness. His form inspires inner transformation and spiritual awakening.
