Her flowing waters are believed to wash away sins and grant Moksha. Ganga descended to Earth through Lord Shiva’s locks to prevent her powerful descent from destroying the world, signifying the balance between cosmic forces. Her worship is central to countless rituals, and her waters are used for purification. Pilgrimages to her banks are considered highly meritorious, making her a symbol of compassion and liberation.
